 JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the Accounting Department staff as well as maintaining and distributing a variety of accounting reports. This position requires a strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, self-management and strong communication skills, both oral and written. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of Upstream Rehabilitation. JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties which include, but are not limited to: answering telephones and routing callers to appropriate personnel, maintaining filing systems, preparing monthly expense vouchers, assisting with special projects as requested, preparing correspondence, memos and reports, providing telephone coverage by screening calls, answering inquiries, taking phone messages.
  • Maintains cash logs for both deposits and disbursements for use by Revenue Cycle and Accounting for cash collection reporting, cash projection reporting and month end journal entries.
  • Prepares and distributes detailed invoices for services provided, including managed clinics, athletic training contracts for school systems, billable physical therapy units, billable payroll hours and other invoices as needed.
  • Helps prepare and pay monthly and quarterly tax reports to include sales and use tax and business personal property tax returns.
  • Responsible for corporate deposits and handling petty cash for corporate office.
  • Supports the Executive VP of Strategy and endeavors related to our Alliance for Physical Therapy Quality and Innovation.
  • Provides other administrative support as necessary and may perform other duties as assigned by senior management and the Accounting Department. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience Prior experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others within the business office, at the clinics, vendors, and other contacts both inside and outside of the company.
  • Ability to examine processes, policies, and problems and offer solutions.
  • Have an overall positive and supportive attitude of yourself, team members, and the company.
  • Proficient in performing basic computer skills on various software packages such as word processing on Word, spreadsheets on Excel, and using other office equipment/software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

BenchMark Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to float between our Salisbury and Concord, NC

This is a PRN float position that will be servicing our Salisbury and Concord clinics. Current needs align with up to eights hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current or pending state licensure
  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Drive to pursue personal and professional goals

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specialized evaluations and evidence-based treatment based on each patients’ specific needs
  • Engagement with patients, with clinical teammates and within your organization
  • Setting and achieving personal and professional goals
