New graduate clinicians spend a full year of personal development, mentorship, and gradual caseload build-up to prepare for managing their caseload and providing superior clinical outcomes. Although our clinics may traditionally be known for outpatient orthopedics, many of our clinicians also choose to specialize in specific areas of physical and occupational therapy. We help train and educate these niche clinicians through continuing education to offer specialty services such as pediatrics, pelvic health, neurological rehab, lymphedema, sports, industrial rehab, and more!
The first step for most clinicians is to hone their clinical skills through the pursuit of advanced clinical training. Advanced certifications help us ensure access to quality healthcare for our patients across the country. Your advanced training can be geared towards manual therapy, vestibular rehab, pelvic floor therapy, sports and performance training, trigger point dry needling, lymphedema, wound care, modern pain science, or another niche that is identified as a passion! We offer formal and self-directed trainings by way of Residency and fellowship programs or individually paced coursework.
We provide a structured Clinic Director Development program for our clinicians with a passion for leadership and who want an understanding of how our business fits into the general healthcare community. This hybrid program prepares our clinicians to lead a team of professionals to increase the influence in their community and start to understand clinical quality metrics and how they drive quality outcomes.
For our entrepreneurial clinicians who have always wanted to own their own business, we encourage you to partner with Upstream to reduce your risk and have the power of a large organization behind you. In this program, we will explore four main modules: Culture, finance, sales/marketing, and personal and professional growth.
For our leaders who have mastered running a clinic and have successfully opened a new clinic, we take a deep dive into leadership development by way of 4 modules: Organization and time management, finance and measuring operational success, growth, and growing a winning team. This training is in person and led by the regional leadership team.
