JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships with Physicians and office staff throughout a defined region, growing market share in designated regions, and promoting all brands and its clinicians. The position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision, and values of our Upstream partners.
What Will You Do?
- Develop and follow an effective call strategy for assigned region to increase the referral outcomes of existing and potential partners.
- Reports regularly to the Regional VP of Operations and VP of Sales on the status of the plan, including progress and challenges.
- Communicates often and effectively with Regional VP and VP of Sales on goals, strategies and outcomes.
- Builds effective relationships with customers and community leaders in assigned region.
- Works well both independently and with our team of Clinic Directors, Therapy staff and Business Office staff and peers.
- Effectively presents our company information, service array, and outcomes data to existing and potential partners.
- Uses reporting and data tools to convey the high quality and clinical excellence of our team members and the services they provide.
- Identifies opportunities for publicity, coordinates community events, and attends and participates in Regional meetings as requested.
- Requires the ability to effectively present our company information including outcomes data using appropriate medical terminology.
- Other duties as assigned.
What Do We Need From You?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the sales field.
- 2+ years of sales and marketing experience to physicians, medical offices, employers, or related field.
- Medical/Healthcare Sales Experience is a positive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
- Experience working in an environment with multiple objectives.
- Confident and persuasive in guiding the sales process.

Conditions of the Position:
- Travel up to 70% of the time throughout the assigned region.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often exposed to road travel and clinical environments, such as hospitals, physician offices, and clinics.

Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for an HR Generalist to join our team
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports our leaders within assigned regions providing guidance and, expertise to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations related to the interpretation of employment policies, practices and protocols as well partnering with Upstream’ s legal partners regarding applicable state and federal law as necessary.
The HR Generalist provides information, interpretation, guidance and counseling to managers, and other leadership on moderately complex issues, employment policies and laws, and recommends course of action as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Associate Relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Strategize with managers in improving work relationships, resolving associate concerns, enhancing associate engagement, and fostering compliance.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective associate management practices, including performance improvement plans (PIP) and correction actions.
- Investigates and resolves workplace issues as well as provides support to managers and associates on moderately/highly complex issues such as discrimination, harassment and workplace violence as well associate performance.
- Recommend appropriate course of action to resolve conflicts and issues effectively.
- Assembles and reviews records, reports and documentation as necessary to conduct thorough investigations and establish the merits of a case, maintaining complete and thorough documentation per established protocols
- Provides consistent coaching, expertise, and consultation to internal customers in areas of behavior modification, conflict resolution and disciplinary issues (including termination) in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies and procedures of the company.
- Collaborates closely with legal team for legal advice, opinions and counsel involving complex associate relations matters.
- Collaborates with all levels of leadership, as well as HR Business Partners, and Operational leaders while obtaining facts surrounding reported concerns and making appropriate recommendations and determinations in alignment with organizational policies and practices, and applicable laws.
- Partners with other departments to maintain a safe work environment consistent with company policy and state/federal regulations, or for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
- Advises leadership on performance evaluations, feedback and recognition techniques, and establishment of measurements and standards.
- Counsels managers and supervisors on the alignment of associate performance improvement plans with organizational goals, and the overall adequacy and quality of those plans
- Assists, counsels, and educates managers and supervisors on federal and state employment laws, ensuring legal compliance.
- Facilitates communication with leadership and other HR functions as appropriate.
- Maintains current knowledge of policies, guidelines and employment laws across all regions and functions.
- Works collaboratively with HR Business Partners (HRBP) and/or other functional areas while obtaining facts surrounding reported concerns and making appropriate recommendations and determinations in alignment with organizational policies and practices, and applicable laws.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality of information, protects the assets of the Company, reports non-compliance and adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Manages unemployment insurance including responding to unemployment claims.
- Facilitates associate relations-related training and education for leaders.
- Assist in the development and updating of HR Policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of Human Resources experience required; preferably in a fast-growing environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Associate Relations required.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred, or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, associate relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Experience coaching leaders in a broad range of HR disciplines, practices, and laws.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance and risk issues.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present solutions to issues in a concise manner to varying levels of leadership
- Must demonstrate strong decision making and judgment, verbal and written communication, business acumen skills.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
